The Olympics are a great time to try out some new athletic events. Starting the morning out right, with fresh air and exercise, we'll be trying our hands (and feet) at track and field events and other Olympic favorites. Go Team USA!
Tuesday School is a secular, drop-off program with supplemental classes for ages 3+.
Eager Minds is a preschool and kindergarten half-day morning drop-off program (9:00am-11:35am) for toilet-trained students ages 3-5. This year, our youngest students will learn about letters, sing fun songs, and play lots of games. They will also learn important life skills like standing in line, taking turns, making friends and listening to instructions. Each Month, they'll discover letters, colors, shapes, and other fun topics like seasons, animals and more. Students enrolled in 2nd quarter will take part in our Winter Show!
Challengers is a full or half day drop-off program for students ages 6-9. They will experience a variety of courses each quarter taught by several instructors who are passionate about homeschooling. All classes are taught with group learning and social opportunities in mind, so students are never sitting in a desk with a worksheet. Our learning is hands-on, active, and designed to engage our students in cooperative activities with others.

An expansion of our ever-popular math games courses, now we’re introducing vocabulary games! This fun-filled course taught by Ms. Allison will be an opportunity for students to look at the language in a whole new way. Each week, we’ll be using different games, both competitive and cooperative, to play with words and definitions, giving students a chance to explore English in brand new ways.
Join us on the journey to Asia, as we explore the amazing things that make this continent unique. Students will learn about everything from the people and traditions to the flora and fauna.
Every great play needs props! In this art class, our students will create the props, setting and costumes they'll need for their performance at the end of Quarter 2. They'll love being a part of the backstage magic for their own show.
This class is part science-discovery and part stem-challenge. We'll be learning about natural disasters that occur around the world, then students will be given a challenge to survive. From building earthquake-proof houses to developing structures to prevent landslides, students will enjoy working together to create and construct.
Calling all thespians! This class will be focused on learning and rehearsing a play for our annual Camp HSR! Winter Show. The first quarter will focus on acting techniques, games, and gaining confidence, as well as introducing the play, selecting roles, and memorizing lines. Non-speaking and stagehand roles will be available for students who can only commit to one quarter or aren’t comfortable center stage.
Students of all experience levels will enjoy the skill building activities in this soccer course. With drills and game play each class, we'll build our individual skills and our team work skills!
Our Language Arts offering for Quarter Two will be another opportunity for students to challenge themselves and look at language in a new light - this time with writing. Each week, we will introduce a writing topic, form, or method for students to explore by practicing free-form writing with limited class time, or take-home activities to present the following week. This course will be adaptable for students at different writing levels.
This quarter, we'll adventure into Europe. Students will learn about the culture, traditions and geography of this continent.
In this course, our students will learn and practice the songs from our play production. While prepping for the big show, we'll learn about singing together with a group and some simple choreography. Fun games and activities will help us remember every we need to know for a great show!
Putting their creativity to the test, our students will be presented with weekly challenges to build and use sustainable energy, create ways to tackle pollution and more.

Big foot races, tug of war, over-under relays. These are far from traditional Olympic events, but they do require a specific set of skills. Every student will have a blast in the Goofy Olympics.
In this 6-week course, we’ll be examining a variety of age-appropriate films, giving students an opportunity to consider traditional literary components from the visual perspective. Think of this kind of like a book club, except no one has to read! We’ll examine themes, characters, book-to-movie connections, and more.
Films will be viewed ahead of time at home, having been selected from the numerous commonly availalbe media platforms for free or a very nominal fee. A list will be provided ahead of time.
Come on our voyage to explore the continents of Africa and Oceania. We'll study the unique cultures, traditions and geography of these places.
Our students will polish their drawing skills in this class. We'll focus on shading techniques and different styles of drawing.
Every food has a job in your body. In this course, we'll be investigating all the jobs our foods do. We'll also learn about serving sizes, and how much of each kind of food we should eat.
Each week, we’ll play with a different unit of measurement, giving students an opportunity to practice using common measurement tools, as well as relate them to everyday life. We’ll incorporate games, fun, and probably some toilet paper.
Swing, swivel, pivot, rotate; the way we move our bodies brings the power to our punch. In this course, we'll explore different sports and muscle groups with a focus on the power we create when we rotate.
Poetry is fun.
In class we’ll meet great poets.
We’ll also write poems.
For the final quarter of Global Trek, we'll find our way back home to the Americas. This continent study will compare the amazing, diverse cultures and geography found throughout the Americas.
Our students love trying out new art techniques and media to copy the art of the Masters. We'll learn about a variety of styles and artists from around the world in this course.
In this beginning coding class, students will learn to build a video game of their own design. We'll learn about creating an algorithm, using loops, sequencing, and events.
This Challengers-level class will allow students to examine geometric principles, such as symmetry and dimension. We’ll look at geometric math principles from different angles, (see what I did there?), such as through art.
Pathfinders is a full or half day drop-off program for students ages 10+. This program is designed for our older students, who enjoy more freedom to challenge themselves. These classes often include deep discussions, advanced science demonstrations, and leadership opportunities. Most importantly, our Pathfinders are able to form friendships with other homeschoolers in middle and high school.
This class will be an advanced look at dinosaurs, fossils and all things Mesozoic. We'll examine the biodiversity and evolution of these fascinating creatures; and we'll dive into the shrink-wrapping fallacy of dinosaur drawings.

This problem solving course will excite our students as they experiment with arches and compressions, forces and loads, and more with team challenges.

How do you plan an amazing trip? In this course, students will learn how to investigate travel destinations and plan the perfect international vacation. We will learn about the cultures, laws and traditions of the places we're planning to visit as well as landmarks, climate and more.
This quarter, we'll be learning how to put together a script and present our ideas for a film. These creations will be put to use next quarter, when we practice our video production skills for the Winter Show.
For this course, students will be able to study some of our favorite insect friends and foes up close. We'll study some of the unique characteristics of six-legged arthropods.

This six-week course will focus on the New York Stock Exchange. Students will start the same amount of "money" in their account. Each week, they'll track their profits and losses and decide whether to buy, sell or just wait. In week 6, we'll calculate everyone's net profits to see who is the the master of Wall Street.
With scripts from first quarter in hand, our Pathfinders will create a video production to present at our annual Winter Show. Students will work as both actors and production team towards a common goal.
Join us in learning about notable scientists in several fields of science. This will be a hands-on, demonstration and experiment based science course.
